OFDA Program: Stop, Collaborate and Listen

The Ohio Funeral Directors Association Leadership and Staff will provide attendees with a comprehensive program covering OFDA resources, service strategies, and current funeral law and regulatory updates. Participants will learn about the many tools and services available through OFDA, including education, advocacy, legislative updates, regulatory guidance, OSHA/EPA resources, OVRS support, and member benefits. The program will also explore how thoughtful, personalized hospitality can enhance the family experience through practical strategies for creating meaningful connections, anticipating needs, and building trust. Additionally, attendees will receive updates and guidance on key funeral law topics, including preneed and Preneed Recovery Fund processes, Medicaid considerations, Indigent Burial and Cremation Support Program updates, Right of Disposition, disinterment, abandonment, OVRS updates, legislative matters, and other current issues impacting funeral service. Attendees must be present for the full two-hour program to receive CE credit. 

CE Information for OFDA Program:

  • This 2-hour continuing education program, led by OFDA leadership, includes 1-hour of General credit and 1-hour of Laws and Rules credit pending approval with the State of Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors
  • CE Certificates will be sent via email to the address on file in the OFDA database
